The Green-Up Hampton Roads event will be held at the Chesapeake Conference Center on Thursday, November 12th from 10:00am-7:00pm. As a part of this event, there will be a morning conference which will highlight educational roundtables, government-to-business discussions, panel presentations, and seminars. In addition, a business exposition in which exhibitors will be showcasing their products and services will be held in the later part of the afternoon and then concluding in the early evening with a guest keynote speaker.

By bringing this event to a large venue such as the Chesapeake Conference Center, we estimate that several thousand people will attend - including business leaders, city leaders, government officials throughout Hampton Roads and the Commonwealth, and the general public. Additionally, we are anticipating hosting over 100 exhibitors - several coming from Hampton Roads and other parts of Virginia and Maryland - and showcasing "Recycling Row" (e.g. a full row of recycling vendors that specialize in the recycling of plastic bags, electronics, paper, grease, etc.), city municipality environmental departments, and environmentally-conscious businesses.

Having successfully implemented the Virginia Beach's Earth Day 2009 at Mt. Trashmore - which brought more than 38,000 attendees, 100 vendors, several corporate sponsors, 456,000 hits to the Earth Day VB website, a major recycling event (plastic and electronics) and national visibility to the City of Virginia Beach - we expect this green event to be even bigger and better; hence being considered one of the hottest regional events in Hamptons Roads.

Lastly, because we will be heavily promoting this event through an extensive marketing program led by a locally-owned marketing and public relations company, we are sure to secure media coverage for the event which will greatly enhance our sponsor's visibility and brands.
